Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Wednesday stressed the importance of U.S. support for Israeli security in light of the political unrest in Egypt, while Ambassador Michael Oren urged the Obama administration to reaffirm its commitment to that regard.

In other words, Mubarak and his regime will stay. What also comes with this is the torture of Egyptian activists, the continuous moment of commdofication of necessary life that put Egyptian families and workers in a more precarious situation. Oh, also the patronizing attitude the elites will have on the Egyptian people (Mubarak calling Egyptians “his children”.

Nothing will change the fact that Israel is a colonial regime that is oppressing and occupying historic Palestine. It is a racist regime that completely separates people and holds  Palestinians as prisoners in open air prisons. The Gaza strip, an incredibly dense settlement is choked off by the Israeli military. The West Bank is being partitioned and settled, where olive groves and farmlands of the Palestinian residents are destroyed and where Palestinians face systematic discrimination and violence.

Take a look at this disgusting video making fun of those who tried to deliver well needed supplies to the Gaza strip, precisely because Israel controls and disallows supply routes through all land borders (the Rafah border too) and all sea entry routes. You can also see the blatant racism and caricature of the man in the Kuffiyah. The lyrics are incredibly sinister: “There’s no people dying, so the best that we can do is create the greatest bluff of all?”  The funny thing is, Israel is trying to con the world with its PR campaign. But it won’t work.

“The entire cargo, including what is understood to be 550 tonnes of cement, would then have been transported to Gaza.  Two persons from the Rachel Corrie would have been permitted to accompany the cargo to the Israeli border crossing into Gaza at Erez.

“In my view, such an arrangement would have offered a useful precedent for future humanitarian shipments, pending the complete lifting of the blockade,” he said.

The whole issue is the liberation of Palestine from apartheid Israel. The current issue with Gaza right now is to completely destroy the blockade that is strangling the Gaza strip, causing malnourishment, poverty. Hell, the Israeli forces even forbid PAPER to enter, the same kind of disgusting blockade that was forced onto the people of Iraq in the 1990s.
